Job summary

Wirral Council is seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join Community Team South in Wirral. The role supports adults and carers, delivering Personalisation and Inclusion Pathways and applying the Care Act 2014 with strengths‑based practice.

You will assess needs, coordinate services, provide guidance and supervise ASYE workers, with a focus on independence and well‑being. Hybrid working is available and a fixed term contract applies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering health and social care services for adults.
• Knowledge of Care Act 2014, safeguarding principles and strengths‑based practice.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and make informed decisions in complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and coordinate appropriate social care services for adults and carers.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to adults with complex needs and to carers.
• Supervise, support and develop ASYE social workers, newly qualified social workers and Care Navigators.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
