What You'll Do

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be an integral part of our Children with Disabilities Team, providing high-level support and guidance while managing a reduced caseload.

You will:

• Lead by Example: Provide expert advice, mentoring, and technical support to colleagues, ensuring that high standards of care and practice are maintained.
• Support Families: Work directly with families with complex needs, using a strengths-based approach to build trust and improve outcomes.
• Drive Innovation: Help shape our services through innovative practices that meet the unique needs of children with disabilities.
• Lead on Complex Cases: Offer professional consultation on complex cases, stepping in for the team manager when required.
• Develop Talent: Supervise and support the professional development of team members, driving continuous improvement.

This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Professional Registration: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience & Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding practices, and fostering regulations.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and lead teams in a collaborative and supportive manner.
• Commitment to Outcomes: A passion for working with children and families to improve their lives and safeguard their well-being.
