Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker - Children's to join their Children with Disabilities Team. You will provide a high-quality social work service to children and young people with disabilities and their families, promoting their welfare, safeguarding their wellbeing, and supporting positive outcomes.

You will manage a caseload of complex cases, collaborate with families, education, health services and partner agencies to deliver child-centred interventions

Responsabilidades

• Undertake assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements and relevant legislation.
• Develop, implement, and review child-focused plans using a strengths-based approach, including Signs of Safety methodology.
• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions and decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with families, education, health services, and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children.
• Promote participation and ensure the voices of children and young people influence assessment, planning, and review processes.
• Prepare and present detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels, and court proceedings where required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with departmental policies and professional standards.
• Fulfil all statutory duties relating to safeguarding, child protection, children in need, and looked after children as applicable.
• Support and mentor less experienced colleagues, contributing to team development and best practice
