Senior Social Worker/AMHP Mental Health Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker/AMHP within the Mental Health Team to work Full Time based in Bromley.

The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker/AMHP job is up to £56,327 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist and participate in the management of the Duty service and act as Duty Senior.
  2. Undertake the safeguarding adult manager role and role of enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding Procedures.
  3. Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers.
  4. Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
  5. As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred or concluded, in accordance with procedures.
  6. Develop and support self and staff learning.
  7. Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
  8. Maintain client records in accordance with Council policy and professional standards.
  9. Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with the Council's complaints procedure.
  10. Work across different teams within the Division as and when needed.
  11. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
  12. Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators or translators when appropriate.
  13. Co-ordinate, participate and where appropriate chair, case conferences and planning meetings.
  14. Participate in multi-disciplinary and inter-agency meetings and working groups and represent the Department as required.
  15. Supervise, support and appraise staff in line with policy as agreed with line manager.
  16. Ensure that information required on adult records is completed before authorising or closing to ensure statutory reporting data is accurate.
  17. Contribute to service development by providing information and ideas for improved and/or more efficient ways of providing a service.
Requirements:
  1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Registered or eligible for registration.
  4. Relevant experience of working in adult social care with vulnerable adults in the community and/or hospital settings.
