Senior Social Worker – Locality Team Bromley Council

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Hayes and Five Elms Locality Team on a 3-month contract basis. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care management interventions, coordinating support plans, and working with partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.

Job Title: Senior Social Worker

Hours: 36 hours per week

Hourly Rate: £38.59 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

Contract Length: 3 months

We are looking for a Senior Social Worker who is:

  • Suitably qualified and experienced in social work practice
  • Innovative, enthusiastic, and motivated
  • A good team player with excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Flexible and committed to working to quality standards
  • Able to develop close working relationships with partner agencies
  • Willing to undertake Safeguarding work and Best Interest assessments
  • Able to provide supervisory support to both unqualified and qualified Care Managers
Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care management interventions to support Younger Adults with physical disabilities and sensory impairment, and Older People to live as independently as possible
  • Coordinate support plans, including annual reviews of support plans, extra care housing support, and direct payment work
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with partner agencies
  • Undertake Safeguarding work and Best Interest assessments as required
  • Provide supervisory support to both unqualified and qualified Care Managers
  • Work within a multidisciplinary framework to ensure comprehensive care planning
