Senior Social Work Practitioner – Children’s Locality Team

We’re looking for an experienced and committed Qualified Social Worker to join a Children’s Locality Team in South Wales — a key role supporting children and families through Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, supportive, and forward-thinking team where your work truly makes a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Hold a mixed caseload of CIN, CP, and care proceedings cases
  • Build strong relationships with children and families to drive meaningful change
  • Make clear, evidence-based assessments and decisions about the right interventions
  • Collaborate with other professionals across education, health, and legal services
  • Maintain high standards of practice and statutory compliance

This role includes flexible working – manage your own diary while meeting statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • 4+ years post-qualified experience, ideally in children's services
