Job Description:

The Senior Social Work Practitioner in the Child Care Management Team will perform complex social work tasks related to assessments, care planning, and support package development to promote children's welfare. They will also supervise Social Worker colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out social work tasks for complex cases.
  • Providing supervision and support to team members.
  • Participating in duty rota, offering advice and guidance.
  • Supervising and developing staff and students.
  • Engaging in service development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in social work.
  • Social Work England registration or in process.
  • Substantial experience with children and families presenting complex issues.
  • Knowledge of Child Care Legislation, Child Protection, and Looked After Children.
  • Qualified practice assessor or willingness to undertake training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to motivate staff and manage complex cases.
  • Experience with joint investigations is advantageous.
