Job summary

Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a dedicated Children’s Social Worker to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people across Birmingham. You will assess needs, develop care plans and provide ongoing support to families, carers and professionals, within a supportive, outcomes-driven team.

This hybrid role is based in Birmingham, requiring SWE registration, ASYE completion and a commitment to high-quality social work practice.

Qualifications

• A degree in Social Work and you must have completed your ASYE.
• Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people; assess needs and develop care plans.
• Provide ongoing support to families and carers.
• Develop robust partnerships with police, health, schools and voluntary organisations.
