Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the UK is seeking a Senior Social Sustainability Advisor to lead the social value strategy across the business. You will embed social value into bids, projects and operations, working with stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver measurable benefits for communities.

You'll drive governance, reporting and continuous improvement, develop social value responses for tenders, and mentor a Sustainability Intern while building partnerships with customers and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in social sustainability roles with measurable outcomes.
• Understanding of public sector procurement and social value requirements.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience supporting or leading social value activities.
• Experience contributing to tender submissions and bid responses.
• Experience planning or delivering community investment and social value activities.
• Experience governance, assurance or performance management activities.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous development of the Social Value Framework.
• Provide governance across the social value delivery lifecycle from bid to contract delivery.
• Measure, report and communicate social value impact to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop compelling social value responses to strengthen tender submissions.
• Provide guidance and continuous improvement support to business units delivering social value.
• Own social value reporting processes and data management at organisational and contract levels.
• Build strategic relationships while representing Siemens Mobility in networks.
• Support the Sustainability Intern and CSR initiatives on a day-to-day basis.
• Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and deliver training to build social value capability across the business.
