Role Overview

We’re looking for a talented Senior Social Media Video Editor to elevate JAAQ’s mental health storytelling and share it globally. This role requires a creative and social media-savvy individual who can craft compelling narratives from our extensive mental health content, whether short reels or longer interviews.

You will work with hours of impactful footage, identifying storytelling opportunities and enhancing content with animations and edits that resonate with our audience. A proactive, challenge-driven mindset and a passion for testing and refining content are essential. You should be able to analyze footage quickly and produce engaging, shareable videos that drive engagement and connect with viewers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Capability

• Create dynamic, high-impact social media trailers for ‘JAAQpresents’.
• Transform JAAQ’s platform into engaging narratives suitable for short-form video channels.
• Apply strong MoGraph and VFX skills, guided by sharp editorial instincts and social media knowledge.

Thought Leadership

• Influence production processes to enhance the platform’s content quality.
• Challenge team standards for social content pre-production (camera angles, b-roll, etc.).

Collaboration

• Coordinate with the social team on publishing schedules and file organization.
• Maximize edits to create multiple assets from single timelines.
• Develop a plan to repurpose top-performing content regularly.

Creative Thinking

• Support broader content strategies and push storytelling boundaries.
• Collaborate with leadership to evolve content output.

Mentoring

• Lead and mentor junior social editors, emphasizing story-led editing approaches.
• Be a resource for editing questions, easing workload for senior leadership.
