Job summary

The Shetland Islands Council invites applications for the position of Senior Social Care Worker – Supervisor in Lerwick. The role supports adults with learning disabilities and autism, providing high-quality care across settings including Supported Living, respite and intensive support under the LD & ASD services.

You will work within regulatory frameworks and PVG requirements, contribute to service improvement, and help individuals live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care with learning disabilities (LD) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) required on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals in a variety of settings while maintaining high standards of care.
• Ensure a high standard of service delivery and support individuals to live well through their strengths and community.
• Assist in coordinating services across LD/ASD provisions and participate in service improvement.
