Job summary

National Highways is recruiting for a Lead SOC Manager to steer the Security Operations Centre, coordinate incident response and guide security professionals across IT, OT, people and physical security. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of monitoring, threat intelligence and remediation efforts.

The position is hybrid with two days in the office weekly and may require travel to National Highways offices across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading diverse teams including staff, contractors and partners.
• Advanced experience in managing complex, high-impact security incidents and investigations.
• Strong understanding of threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for the SOC and align priorities with organisational objectives and security standards.
• Lead day-to-day delivery of the hybrid SOC model including monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management and threat intelligence.
• Oversee escalation and investigation of major incidents across IT, OT, personnel and physical security.
