Job summary

UK Home Office in Peterborough/Salford/Sheffield is hiring a Senior SOAR & Detection-as-Code Analyst to join the Cyber Security Operations Centre. You will design and implement security automation workflows, playbooks and DaC practices to improve detection and incident response.

Working pattern is hybrid with 60% on-site. Applicants must meet UK residency and security clearance requirements. Salary £49,850 plus up to £7,550 skills allowance, with future opportunities in security operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a SOC environment
• Designing, developing and maintaining security automation workflows
• Experience with DaC methodologies and playbooks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Experience leading a technical team

Responsibilities

• Carry out security monitoring, detection and response activities
• Identify, analyse and investigate indicators of malicious activity
• Triage security events and suggest improvements to monitoring and coverage
• Support incident response activities including red teaming and threat hunting
• Develop and improve monitoring use cases and alert effectiveness
• Define and enhance security processes, tooling and controls
• Drive service and process improvements in security operations
