Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Snowflake Developer to design, develop and optimise enterprise reporting and analytics platforms within a financial services environment. You will deliver scalable cloud data solutions, support regulatory and management reporting, and collaborate with business users, architects and project teams to modernise legacy systems.

The role is hybrid, blending Capgemini offices, client sites and home working, with no 100% work-from-home arrangement.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Experience with dbt for transformation and modelling.
• Advanced Python development for data engineering.
• Strong SQL Server design, optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Significant experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions.
• Understanding of data warehousing principles.
• Star schema and dimensional modelling knowledge.
• Data architecture and governance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Snowflake data solutions.
• Build and optimise ELT/ETL pipelines for critical reporting and analytics.
• Design data models including dimensional structures.
• Develop transformation frameworks using dbt and Python-based processing.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and cloud platform modernization.
• Data engineering & optimisation across pipelines.
• Ingest and transform data from diverse source systems.
• Optimise Snowflake databases, queries and workloads.
