Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group Limited is assisting an established electronics manufacturing business in Poole to hire an experienced SMT Operator. This hands-on role involves operating screen printers, pick and place machines and reflow ovens as part of a skilled SMT team.

You will verify quality with AOI equipment, hand build SMT assemblies where required, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining a clean, safe production area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electronics manufacturing, SMT environment preferred.
• Good attention to detail and quality focus.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• IPC A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001 knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate screen printers, pick & place machines and reflow ovens.
• Operate AOI equipment and perform product verification.
• Hand build SMT assemblies when required.
• Monitor production against timescales and delivery dates.
• Identify and report issues affecting quality, production or deadlines.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised production area.
• Follow Health & Safety and ESD procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider production team to meet the plan.
