Job description

Job Title: Senior SME Broker

As a Senior SME Broker, you will be responsible for the following key duties:

  1. Manage the renewal process, ensuring all invitations are sent in compliance with FCA regulations.
  2. Serve as a subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  3. Mentor and train less experienced team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and insurers to facilitate business growth.
  5. Handle customer enquiries professionally, offering clear and accurate guidance on insurance matters.
  6. Focus on client retention, working diligently to maximise renewal rates.
  7. Identify new business opportunities and cross-sell Radius products to existing clients.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Acturis policy system, ensuring all information is entered promptly and correctly.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance, including motor and non-motor sectors, with at least two years' relevant experience.
  • CII qualifications or a commitment to pursue them.
  • Exceptional client focus and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially via telephone and email.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and insurers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and task prioritisation.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work aspects.
  • Proficiency in Acturis or similar policy management systems is highly advantageous.
