Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the AV/Home Automation Industry.
  • Ability to programme Crestron Home, Control4, Rako, and Lutron.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and CSCS required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service smart home systems on-site.
  • Provide first-class technical support for planned and reactive issues.

Job Role

The role focuses on maintaining high levels of customer service while installing, commissioning and servicing systems on-site.You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing first class technical support for planned and reactive issues.You will collaborate with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.Excellent communication skills are a must as you will regularly liaise with clients, contractors and attend site meetings.

Based in our Maidstone office, you will work on projects mainly in Kent, but occasionally in London and the Home Counties.

  • Testing and pre-configuring of equipment, systems and racks prior to installation
  • On-site installation and commissioning of Smart Home, Home Cinema, Audio Visual and Networking equipment
  • Carrying out small works installations including configuration and commissioning of new equipment
  • Carrying out project hand overs and attendance of proactive aftercare visits
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting on and off-site
  • Interpretation of AV schematics and construction drawings
  • Reporting to the Project Manager and representing them in their absence
  • Providing, mentoring and support to Trainee/Junior Engineers

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within the residential AV/Home Automation Industry
  • Possess a good underpinning technical knowledge of IT Networks, Electronics and Audio-Visual Systems
  • Computer/IT literate with good knowledge and experience of related equipment and systems, including Crestron, Control4, Cisco, Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Rako and Lutron
  • Ability to programme Crestron Home, Control4, Rako and Lutron
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IP and AV issues on-site, using problem-solving skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • CSCS

For your efforts and commitment, you will be provided with the following;

  • £35,000.00 to £50,000.00 (dependent on experience) + Performance related bonus
