Job summary

The Vet Service is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to manage a varied small animal caseload in a busy clinical environment. You will independently run consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery while upholding high standards of patient and client care.

There is scope to mentor junior colleagues and help develop clinical protocols and practice standards. The role offers a full-time 40-hour week with private healthcare and CPD support.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon eligible for RCVS registration.
• 2–3 years post-qualification experience preferred.
• Ability to manage consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery.
• Strong communication and collaborative working style.
• Commitment to high clinical and client-care standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied small animal caseload including consultations, diagnostics and treatment planning.
• Perform routine surgical procedures and contribute to clinical protocols.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to development of standards and protocols.
