Job summary

London SEN School invites an experienced education professional to join as a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). You will partner with the Headteacher to drive school improvement while leading safeguarding and child protection across the campus.

Ideal candidate will hold QTS with senior leadership or DSL experience, strong safeguarding knowledge, and a calm, child-centred leadership style suitable for SEND and complex needs settings.

Qualifications

• QTS and significant experience within education.
• Senior leadership and/or DSL experience.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge including child protection and KCSIE.

Responsibilities

• Act as the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead and lead all safeguarding procedures.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership as a member of SLT.
• Oversee safeguarding referrals, records and multi‑agency work.
• Lead safeguarding training and guidance for staff.
• Promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations.
