The Role:
Reporting into easyJet’s Director of Scheduling and based in our head office, this role leads easyJet’s efforts to create, maintain and deliver the slot policy & strategy to ensure that easyJet’s world leading slot portfolio is protected.
You will be responsible for optimising schedules to meet easyJet’s commercial and operational goals while protecting its valuable slot portfolio. This will include leading slot strategy development, monitoring competitor activity whilst using data and analytics to inform policy. You'll work cross-functionally with teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Network Planning to align slot strategy with broader business goals.
How you will do it:
Working closely with the Head of Schedule Delivery you will lead the engagement with external stakeholders including slot coordinators, government agencies and regulators to defend easyJet’s slot position and mitigate sanctions for off-slot flying and night movement infringements; gather and provide evidence to support our cases; liaise with the easyJet Legal team as and when requires
You will be responsible for the development and leadership of a diverse and high performing Slot Policy & Strategy Team to deliver an airport access strategy for slot options is handed over to both Schedule Development and Schedule Delivery teams.
You will lead the team to develop and deliver a data-driven slot strategy across easyJet’s network, focusing on slot-constrained airports and future capacity opportunities.
The responsibilities will include:
· Strategy Development : Create evidence-based strategies by base and airport, assess terminal/runway constraints, define slot risk appetite, and identify core slots to protect.
· Slot Acquisition : Support targeted acquisitions, including working with the GCO on merger-related slot remedies and monitoring competitor activity.
· Stakeholder Engagement : Lead internal and external engagement on slot policy, represent easyJet in industry forums (e.g., SPWG, WASB), and respond to regulatory consultations.
· Slot Monitoring : Oversee slot usage, identify trends with tools like SkySim, and collaborate with teams to defend slot positions and reduce risk of loss.
· Strategic Input : Feed slot insights into aircraft allocation and long-term planning processes; collaborate across Scheduling, Network, and Strategy teams.
· Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with slot coordinators across the network.
Requirements of the Role
What you will need to be to do the role:
This role requires someone with e xtensive airport slot policy & regulatory experience working with regulators, trade associations and governments as well as slot co-ordinators
Naturally, you will have a deep understanding of Network, Operations and Scheduling in the commercial airline business with the ability to work and deliver under pressure and to tight timescales with data from different sources and derive robust and relevant conclusions and recommendations
A track record in managing projects and an advanced knowledge of Sabre Schedule Manager & Excel will also be vital.
Your ability to influence and communicate will also be crucial along with your ability to manage and develop people.

Location & Hours of Work
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week,with some occasional travel required.We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
