Role Overview

TWI is seeking a Senior Technician for the Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Inspection Services team. The position is site-based with travel across multiple UK sites, including Cambridge, Middlesbrough, and Port Talbot.

The successful candidate will work within a team to deliver various projects, liaise with clients, prepare reports, and update senior management. The role includes overtime pay and adverse conditions allowance.

About the Section

The NIS section handles diverse projects for an international clientele, including NDE technique development, qualification, and on-site inspection. The section aims to expand its advanced NDE site inspection capabilities.

Qualifications
Essential
  • Minimum of 2 qualifications to ISO 9712 Level 2, with PAUT and ToFD certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and their application
  • Knowledge of acceptance criteria and their application
Desirable
  • EC welds and/or wrought ISO 9712 Level 2
  • PAUT, ISO 9712 Level 2
  • UT 3.1/3.2, ISO 9712 Level 2
  • ACFM, ISO 9712 Level I or II
  • MPI ISO 9712 Level 2
  • DPI ISO 9712 Level 2
Travel

This role requires regular travel within the UK and Europe to deliver NDT inspections to TWI Industrial Members.
