Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Senior Site Supervisor to join us here at Octavius. We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)
  • Support and assist the site management team in managing site activities, including deputising as required.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high quality and service, meeting company requirements and legislation.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and the site team.
  • Promote and protect the Octavius reputation while remaining customer-focused.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating the agreed values and behaviours in all interactions.
  • Supervise and manage the contract to the agreed programme, ensuring adherence to safe systems of work.
  • Coordinate site resources and ensure the team has the tools needed to make decisions aligned with their responsibilities.
  • Communicate the Vision and Strategy for the Octavius team and engage with the supply chain.
  • Promote a site safety culture, ensuring everyone goes home safe every day.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, company policies, and procedures.
  • Manage risks and opportunities effectively, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement.

You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
  • Has worked on a broad section of disciplines such as groundworks, RC structures, steelwork, and building and can demonstrate a clear understanding in these areas.
  • SMSTS competent, Correct CSCS card, PTS (if required)
  • Some knowledge of programming and Conditions of contract (NEC, ICE etc.)
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Good understanding of programming.
  • Solid understanding of drawings and technical knowledge.
