Job summary

Allwyn UK is hiring a Senior/Lead Site Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership for reliability across the digital estate. You will own reliability outcomes, lead incident response, and drive automation and observability improvements for high-availability systems.

You will collaborate with platform, product, and operations teams to raise service resilience and performance during peak events, with a focus on SLOs, deploy safety, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS (ECS, with exposure to EKS/Kubernetes).
• Hands-on with Terraform and observability stacks (Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana).
• Strong programming skills (Python, Go, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Define and govern SLOs/SLIs/error budgets across critical services.
• Lead reliability design reviews for web/mobile platforms and related services.
• Act as incident commander for major incidents and high-severity events.
• Own end-to-end incident lifecycle from detection to post-incident review.
• Drive automation and platform maturity to reduce toil and improve resilience.
