Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading retail banks, seeking an experienced Cloud SRE to join our engineering team. The role focuses on driving reliability, scalability, and automation across cloud-based products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). It involves embedding SRE best practices, enhancing platform resilience, and troubleshooting service issues through automation and coding.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Background in software engineering or telemetry, preferably with SRE experience.
• Hands-on expertise with GCP (or AWS/Azure), including security and networking.
• Strong experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, Golang, BASH, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of SLOs, SLIs, SLAs, with experience in monitoring, alerting, and logging.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Experience with observability tools like Dynatrace, Stackdriver, Cloud Operations Suite, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
• Ability to mentor engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve automation to reduce manual effort.

Salary: Up to £106k depending on experience
