Astrea Academy Trust is seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead estates for Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy in Cambridgeshire. You will drive safe, well‑maintained learning environments, manage site teams, coordinate maintenance works and ensure compliance with all statutory and Trust requirements.

This is a hands‑on leadership role combining strategic oversight with practical delivery. Reporting to the Estates Repairs & Maintenance Manager, you will work across two sites, manage contractors,

Competenze

• Significant experience in site, facilities, estates or building maintenance management.
• Experience of leading and developing teams in a busy operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, fault finding and practical problem solving.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Experience of managing contractors and monitoring service quality and performance.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise across multiple sites.
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital maintenance systems.

Mansioni

• Lead, motivate and develop site teams across both academies.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, plant and equipment.
• Carry out hands-on repairs, fault diagnosis and minor works as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, water hygiene and asbestos rules.
• Coordinate contractors and planned maintenance programmes to standards.
• Take responsibility for site security arrangements and emergency procedures.
• Support business continuity planning and respond to incidents.
• Maintain compliance and expenditure records for budget planning.
