We are recruiting for a Senior Site Manager to join us at Octavius Infrastructure working on Highways Projects in the North East of England.

Octavius is a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

Responsibilities:

As Senior Site Manager, you will lead and manage site activities on a major highways project in Newcastle. Your duties include overseeing the construction of road infrastructure, drainage systems, bridges, and structures, ensuring work is completed safely, profitably, and in line with the programme. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and safety, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.

Collaborations:

You will work with a dedicated team of professionals, including the Project Manager and subcontractors, to deliver key projects that improve road infrastructure and enhance local communities' travel experience.

You are an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in road building and drainage, capable of managing site activities on major infrastructure projects. You are an inspiring leader committed to high-quality work and maintaining excellent relationships with your team, clients, and suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
• SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
• An industry-recognised qualification (Degree, HND, NVQ) in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
