Qualifications

Job description

Our client is a leading property developer / main contractor working in London and the home counties.

They have a top-class multi-million-pound project portfolio, dealing with super prime high-end residential projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a self-build property developer working alongside some of the best talent on the market.

The need is currently for Site Managers with varying experience up to Senior Site Manager level, due to a healthy pipeline of projects scheduled in 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing Construction Programme: Proficient in drafting construction programmes. Agreeing subcontractor programmes and incorporating them into the overall construction programme. Recognising potential delays in advance and implementing decisive measures to keep the programme on track.
  2. Managing Steady Flow of Design Info: Familiar with design stakeholders such as the Project Architect, Engineer, M+E Consultants, and others. Confidently hosting regular Design Coordination Meetings to ensure queries are answered and the site receives the necessary design information to progress works on site as per the programme.
  3. Budget Conscious: Each Project Manager (PM) is provided with a construction budget at the beginning of a project. They should be conscious of the project's budget parameters, including weekly spend on labour and materials. Work packages for principal subcontractors are negotiated and awarded through the main office. Fully aware of subcontractor responsibilities, with pre-start meetings held with each subcontractor, where the PM's presence is expected.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager
  • Ideally 15+ years of experience in residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of M+E, Steel Frame, RC construction is beneficial
  • Very programme conscious and driven
  • Management and health & safety qualifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strong IT skills
