Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major 80m+ new build school project in Rayleigh, Essex. This role offers a minimum 2-year freelance contract with extension potential, working on a prestigious DfE framework scheme.

You will lead on-site operations, drive programme performance, and maintain high safety and quality standards across packages, coordinating with Project Manager and Senior Site Manager.

Qualifications

• Evidence of SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualifications.
• Experience delivering school/education or DfE framework projects is essential.
• Experience in Tier 1/main contractor environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across key construction packages.
• Coordinate subcontractors to deliver works safely and to programme.
• Monitor progress against milestones and report to senior management.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Review RAMS for site activities and lead toolbox talks.
