Job summary

ARC Group is seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead a 150-unit traditional build development in Watford, reporting to the Contracts Manager.

You will manage a team including one Site Manager and two Assistant Site Managers, drive delivery safely, on programme and to quality standards, and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants on a fast-paced residential site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager in residential new build projects.
• Strong traditional build experience across sizeable developments.
• Ability to lead and develop Site Managers and Assistants.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of the development to time, budget, and quality.
• Manage site team including Site Manager and Assistant Site Managers.
• Ensure safety, programme, and quality standards are met.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and consultants.
• Support Contracts Manager in delivering projects and long-term plans.

Senior Site Manager Watford

£70,000 £90,000 + 10% Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Healthcare

We re currently working with a well-established residential developer who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to take the lead on a new 150-unit traditional build development in Watford.

The development will consist of a 50:50 split between private and housing association units, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take ownership of a significant residential project within a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Contracts Manager, you ll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the development, managing a team consisting of:

• 1 x Site Manager
• 2 x Assistant Site Managers
• Subcontractors and wider site teams

You ll be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards, whilst maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with further projects already planned across North London, offering excellent continuity of work and long-term progression for the right person.

We're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within residential new build
• Strong traditional build experience
• Experience managing sizeable residential developments
• Ability to lead and develop Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers
• Strong understanding of programme, quality, health & safety and delivery
• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A strong track record of delivering projects from start to completion
