Job description

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Site Manager to lead the day-to-day management of a new build school project in the North East.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all site operations, ensuring works progress in line with program and budget.

  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site workforce efficiently.

  • Enforce health and safety standards and ensure compliance with CDM regulations.

  • Liaise with client representatives, design teams, and local authorities.

  • Coordinate site logistics, materials delivery, and resource allocation.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and safety documentation.

  • Monitor quality and ensure adherence to DfE specifications and building regulations.

  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within education or public sector projects.

  • Experience on new build school projects and familiarity with DfE frameworks is essential

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Valid CSCS card, First Aid and SMSTS

  • Good knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
