Senior Site Manager

Location: Peterborough

Salary: Up to £75,000 (All-Inclusive Package)

Ridgeway & Co are partnering with one of the UK’s most respected Tier 1 main contractors — known for delivering complex, high-value projects across the public, commercial, and education sectors. With a strong presence in the East of England, they are seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead a new project in Peterborough. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior operational position with a contractor that invests in its people, offers career progression, and delivers projects ranging from £10 million to £50 million.

Role Overview:

1. Take full site responsibility for a new-build or refurbishment project from start to finish.
2. Lead all day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
3. Manage subcontractors, direct labour, site logistics, and quality control.
4. Liaise with project and commercial teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive performance.
5. Champion health & safety best practices across the site.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Background in delivering public sector or commercial projects (education, healthcare, civic buildings, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and programme management skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid qualifications are essential.
