Job Title: Senior Site Manager

Location: North Leicestershire

Thorn Baker has teamed up with a 5-Star, Award Winning Home Builder who is looking for a Pride in the Job winning Site Manager with experience in Timber frame. They specialise in high-quality, high-spec new build housing and are committed to climate and environmental policies. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest house builders with over 75 years of experience on a new timber frame development in North Leicestershire.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day running of the development and provide clear direction to site staff regarding responsibilities and targets.
• Manage and implement health and safety procedures, working closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers to ensure compliance.
• Motivate, support, and manage directly employed site staff, providing toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support to improve performance.

Required Skills:

• Experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on new build housing sites.
• Experience managing teams effectively.
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
• GCSE Maths and English - Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent); Construction Management - HNC Level 4, HND Level 5, or NVQ Level 6 desirable.
• Valid CSCS card at Site Manager level (or equivalent), SMSTS certificate, First Aid certificate.
• Desirable: Scaffold Appreciation and LOLER certificates.
• Effective communication and listening skills, good administration skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Committed to and pride in the job; Timber frame experience is desirable.
