Overview

My client are a leading energy solution provider that are looking to onboard a Civil Site Manager to an ongoing energy infrastructure package being delivered in London.

Responsibilities
  • Day to day management of site operatives, subcontractors and site work.
  • Development and implementation of safety documentation including construction phase plans, site quality plans and risk assessments / method statements.
  • Undertake inspections. Carry out site inductions, Toolbox Talks & Daily Briefings.
  • Prepare daily SSoW and put people to work.
  • Produce & maintain Site Specific Risk & Method Statements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the contractors.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure quality control measures are implemented throughout the project.
  • Maintain a high standard of documentation and records of project activities/labour including a site diary.
Site manager requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Must have SMSTS, First Aid at Work/ CSCS, Temporary Works Co-Ordinator & Supervisor.
  • An extensive knowledge of construction methodologies within the renewables/energy industry
  • Competency to work in substations 66kV to 400kV inclusive.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Knowledge of current legislation relating to health, safety and environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work within a team environment including with clients, designers, H&S advisers, site staff, quantity surveyor and estimators.
  • IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Full driving license.
  • Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites.
  • Previously or current authorization to Grid (NG Persons ticket) is a minimum.
