A governmental organization in Scotland is seeking a Senior SIDAM to oversee asset management and project sponsorship within its establishment cluster. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing asset portfolios and collaboration with stakeholders. Responsibilities include financial oversight, risk management, and performance reporting. Remote working can be discussed at interview.

The Senior SIDAM is the Line Manager for the SIDAMs across their establishment cluster. They are responsible for supervising asset management activities, promoting an informed asset management approach to support decision-making.
The Senior SIDAM should demonstrate collaborative working to develop asset management plans, lifecycle programmes, and EMPs to manage and oversee activities, ensuring progression of strategies for maintenance, sustainability, and change to maximize value from asset portfolios. They should provide evidence with Asset Information Data in decision-making processes and stakeholder management.
The Senior SIDAM is accountable for overseeing and managing the Establishment Programmes across their cluster, ensuring Asset Management principles are embedded. They are responsible for managing and monitoring these programmes to ensure alignment with Asset Management priorities.
The Senior SIDAM acts as the Project Sponsor for Minor Programme tasks within their establishment cluster. They assist in planning and prioritizing tasks from Statement of Need (SON) to Handover, providing comprehensive understanding at Monthly Programme Boards, identifying risks, and presenting opportunities for recovery.
They oversee and own the timely development and submission of approvals related to Minor Programme tasks, including temporary approvals and business cases over £1M, maintaining a 12-month forward look for funding requirements.
The Senior SIDAM owns the escalation process within the cluster, ensuring issues are tracked, managed, and resolved promptly, with communication maintained with the Customer.
The Senior SIDAM maintains a detailed view of risks across the cluster, ensuring S&L compliance and advising on infrastructure-related risks on POL.
They oversee the financial and delivery position of the allocated funds, ensuring performance reporting and demonstrating capacity to maximize expenditure efficiency within the financial year.
The Senior SIDAM must attain and maintain FDIS practitioner status through training and CPD, providing expert advice and guidance across the Infrastructure Enterprise.
They are responsible for collating, reviewing, and providing performance data requested by HQ, ensuring accuracy and explaining anomalies.
Other tasks supporting the HOE, operational output, and NCHQ may be required but should not detract from core responsibilities.
Travel to other Naval Establishments will be required. Remote working can be discussed at interview or with the line manager.
