Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer for a high-profile project in the Heathrow area, working exclusively on night shifts. The role demands strong setting-out and engineering delivery on a live site, with immediate start available.

Candidates must be able to work NIGHTSHIFT HOURS ONLY and be comfortable with PAYE Umbrella arrangements. The position is inside IR35 and offers long-term night work on a Heathrow-based site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Site Engineer in construction
• Strong setting-out experience and precision
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• CSCS card holder required

Responsibilities

• Take senior responsibility for engineering activities throughout the night shift
• Carry out accurate setting out using Total Station and GPS equipment
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Check levels, coordinates, dimensions and tolerances throughout the works
• Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and project teams to resolve technical issues
• Provide engineering guidance and support to the wider site team
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and project information
• Maintain accurate site records, quality documentation, survey information and as-built records
• Monitor the quality and accuracy of engineering works
• Identify and resolve engineering issues promptly
• Support the safe and efficient delivery of works throughout the night

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join an ongoing, high-profile construction project based within the Heathrow area, working exclusively on NIGHTSHIFTS.

This is a long-term opportunity for a Senior Site Engineer with strong setting out and engineering experience, who is confident working in a demanding live-site environment and taking responsibility for engineering delivery throughout the night.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A NIGHTSHIFT-ONLY POSITION. DAYSHIFT AVAILABILITY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

PAYMENT TERMS - PAYE UMBRELLA ONLY

£500 PER SHIFT VIA PAYE UMBRELLA ONLY.

THIS ROLE IS INSIDE IR35. NO OTHER PAYMENT METHOD OR ENGAGEMENT MODEL WILL BE CONSIDERED OR ACCEPTED.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Senior Site Engineer within a construction environment
• Strong setting out experience
• Competent using Total Station and GPS equipment
• Strong understanding of levels, coordinates and construction tolerances
• Ability to confidently interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant CSCS card
• Previous experience working on major infrastructure or complex construction projects preferred
• Full availability for NIGHTSHIFT HOURS ONLY
• Available for an IMMEDIATE START
• Must be able to work via PAYE Umbrella
