Job summary

MMC Training & Consultancy is recruiting an experienced Site Engineer for our client for a major heavy civils project in Exeter. The role involves setting out for roads, drainage and infrastructure works, and using Leica GPS and Total Station equipment.

You will produce as-built surveys, manage QA docs, read drawings, and maintain top health and safety standards while coordinating with Site/Project Managers. Immediate start and long-term opportunity with competitive freelance rates.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' heavy civils experience.
• Proven experience on infrastructure, highways, utilities or major civil engineering projects.
• CSCS card.
• Competent using Leica GPS, Total Station and AutoCAD (preferred).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Immediate start available.

Responsibilities

• Setting out for roads, drainage, reinforced concrete and infrastructure works.
• Operating Leica/GPS and Total Station equipment.
• Producing as-built surveys.
• QA and quality documentation.
• Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
