Job summary

A respected UK civil engineering contractor is looking for a Senior Engineer to manage a project in Bristol. This role involves overseeing commercial performance, ensuring health and safety compliance, and supporting project management activities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications, and experience in civils or water projects. This is a full-time, long-term position with 10–12 hour shifts from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or similar role.
• Ability to manage commercial performance of projects.
• Capable of preparing safety plans and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor commercial performance of the project.
• Prepare and implement RAMS for safe delivery.
• Support Project Manager in client relationships.
• Support the Project Manager / Contracts Manager in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Carry out additional Senior Engineer duties as needed to meet project demands.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager / Contracts Manager in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Carry out additional Senior Engineer duties as needed to meet project demands.
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer, Agent / Sub Agent, or Section Engineer ready to step up.
• CSCS and SMSTS certifications, plus two recent professional references.
• Experience in Civils, Groundworks, Pump Stations, or Water projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
