Job description

Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in residential groundworks, looking for more than just another job?

Nicholas Associates are working with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor who is looking to bring on board a Senior Site Engineer to manage large-scale residential projects across the East Midlands.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing groundworks packages for major housing developers. From site setup through to infrastructure and foundation delivery, you'll ensure technical accuracy, safety compliance, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising site engineers and subcontractors

QA checks and maintaining accurate site records

Interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Liaising with project managers, clients, and design teams

Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the site

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer in residential groundworks

Proficient with GPS/setting out equipment (e.g. Leica/Trimble)

Strong knowledge of (Plots/Earthworks/Roads & Sewers/278 works)

Leica machine control experience and creating models

Proficient in cad software (AutoCAD 3d civil preferred but not essential)

Full UK driving licence
