Site Agent – Infrastructure

Location: Banwell

Purpose of the role: As a Senior Site Agent, you will manage your section of works, ensuring client and company performance expectations are met. The role supports the delivery of a new carriageway scheme involving earthworks, structures, and highways works. You will report to the Project Manager and lead the day-to-day management of the works, including mobilisation and coordination with the Works Manager and section leads.

Key Accountabilities:

• Promote a safe working environment.
• Manage the site team and supply chain daily.
• Plan and monitor the progress of works.
• Manage multiple packages, controlling costs.
• Handle scope changes and temporary works requirements.
• Implement value engineering and attend external meetings.
• Report progress and performance to the Project Manager.
• Administer cost forecasts, valuations, and reporting systems.
• Conduct site meetings and ensure latest design information is used.
• Order materials, conduct H&S checks, and ensure safety procedures.
• Resolve technical issues and maintain quality control.
• Lead and manage team members, conduct performance reviews, and monitor staff capabilities.

Requirements:

• Strong data interpretation skills and organisation.
• Effective communication with team, subcontractors, designer, and client.
• Knowledge of CDM and NEC standards.
• Commercial awareness and leadership skills.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• HNC or higher
• SMSTS
• Relevant Civil Engineering Experience
