Job summary

Colas Roads UK is seeking a proactive Site Agent to oversee carriageway and footway contracts across the UK. You will supervise site teams, manage client expectations, and ensure delivery within quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

The role requires prior experience, NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC, driving licence, and strong leadership and communication skills. A competitive package includes pension, life Assurance, 25 days leave and hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Three years+ experience in a similar role.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC.
• Desirable: NRSWA, 12D Supervisor, SMSTS or SSSTS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contracts and coordinate manpower, plant, vehicles and materials.
• Provide clear instructions to foremen and complete reports and budget monitoring.
• Ensure safety through toolbox talks and COSHH/Chapter 8 compliance.
• Track wages, outputs and vehicle reports; monitor budgets and margins.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by line manager.
