Senior Site Agent - Sizewell C Highways

Location: Leiston, Suffolk Project: Sizewell C Nuclear Power Project Job Type: Long-Term Contract (Ongoing Work) Start Date: Immediate Pay Rate: £550 - £650 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Are you a seasoned Senior Site Agent with a strong background in major highways projects? We have an exceptional long-term opportunity to join the nationally significant Sizewell C project in Leiston.

We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Site Agent to take a leading role in the management and delivery of key highway elements associated with the Sizewell C nuclear power station. You will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards required for such a landmark project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all on-site activities for highways-related packages, ensuring efficient project execution from start to finish.
  • Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary site team, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a positive safety culture on site.
  • Liaise effectively with the project management team, designers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, short-term programming, and risk management.
  • Monitor project progress against the programme, identifying and mitigating potential delays.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality assurance records.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent on major UK highways projects is essential.
  • A strong understanding of highways construction methodologies, specifications (e.g., DMRB), and traffic management.
  • Demonstrable experience managing large site teams and subcontractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation within the construction industry.
  • A valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
  • A valid CSCS card (Black Card preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (HNC, HND, Degree) is highly desirable.
