Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• NMC 1st level registration
• Evidence of degree level qualification in health/nursing related

Desirable criteria

• Evidence of master level study

Experience

Essential criteria

• Minimum of 3 years post registration experience
• 1 year of management/leadership experience
• Deputy ward sister/charge nurse experience within the last 12 months

Desirable criteria

• Formal teaching to groups of staff
• Cardiac cath lab experience

Skills

Essential criteria

• Experience of teaching in clinical areas
• Formal leadership and management training
• Evidence of ongoing professional education in a specialist area
