We are delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse within Cramlington Main outpatient department, Manor Walks. In this pivotal role, you will provide inspirational leadership, clinical guidance, and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. Your practice will align with local, Trust-wide, and national policies, procedures, and the core values and behaviours that define our commitment to excellence.

We are seeking a flexible and forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in clinical management and team empowerment. Your ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment will be key to driving continuous improvement and high standards across the service. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills and be dedicated to improving the experiences of patients, the public, and staff. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to developing others, working closely within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the Main Outpatients Department (MOPD), including scheduling and clinic allocation.
  2. Coordinating daily activities within the outpatient department.
  3. Being responsible and accountable for all delegated nursing care within the clinical area.
  4. Maintaining high standards of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
  5. Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams within the outpatient department and across sites where necessary.
  6. Ensuring compliance with clinical governance frameworks, supporting staff development, motivating colleagues, championing patient safety and dignity, and driving continuous improvement.
  7. Being accountable for the patient, public, and staff experience.
  8. Contributing to outpatient transformation initiatives.
