A leading healthcare provider in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to provide operational management and leadership in the Critical Care Unit. The role involves ensuring high-quality patient care, developing team members, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient operational day-to-daymanagement of the Critical Care Unit. He/she will be expected to work as an expertpractitioner responsible for the delivery of patient focused programmes of care whichaddress the complex and changing health and wellbeing needs of critically ill patients andtheir families. Additionally the post holder will be expected to demonstrate enhancedcommunication and interpersonal skills, providing direction and professional inspirationalleadership to all members of the multi-professional team within the clinical area.
Demonstrate specialist Critical Care skills, expertise and professional knowledge acquiredthrough post registration clinical experience, leadership, managerial development andacademic study.Provide strong and visible leadership in the clinical area that prioritises and improvesquality of care delivery by focusing on patient safety, patient experience and clinicaleffectiveness.Act as a clinically credible practitioner and role model to inspire team members to providequality patient care.Promote and maintain a safe therapeutic environment for patients, their families and staff,according to national and local Infection Control guidelines, Health & Safety legislationand Trust policies and objectives.Ensure that The Walton Way values are embedded at all levels and underpin all aspectsof own and others clinical practice.Encourage an open culture for quality and safety encompassing dignity, respect, candour, transparency and a continuous learning and improvement.
