Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking a Senior Sister at The Dean Neurological Centre in Gloucester to lead, motivate and support a nursing team, ensuring the day-to-day operation of the department runs smoothly and positively.

With NHS or private care experience in a neurological setting, you will oversee and provide high-quality care, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and make critical staffing decisions, guiding staff toward excellent patient outcomes.

What you will be doing

With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in a Neurologicalsetting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promote good teamwork.

As a Senior Sister, you’ll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivering of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit is performing well. You'll also;

• Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams
• Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes
• Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support
• Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation
• Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration

Location: The Dean Neurological Centre, Tewkesbury Road, Longford, Gloucester, Gloucestershire,

The Dean Neurological Centre has 60 beds in Gloucester (GL2 9EE), which is on the outskirts of the town within easy commute from Gloucester, Cheltenham with good transport links.

The Centre delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.

It specialises in slow stream rehabilitation where the emphasis is placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.

Bedrooms are fitted with high dependency equipment, including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment., with all rooms adapted to individual requirements. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities and other facilities such as gardens, gym and minibus.
