Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for CCS to drive risk-based technical assurance across design, construction, testing and commissioning. You will review contractor designs and coordinate CCS interfaces with other rail systems, ensuring adherence to HS2 requirements.

The role requires major signalling project experience, NEC contract familiarity and strong leadership. Hybrid role available in Birmingham or London, with typically 3 days in the office; salary £80,000-£92,400 plus 12%

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major signalling/CCS projects.
• Experience across design, installation, testing and commissioning lifecycle.
• Strong leadership of engineering teams and technical assurance experience.
• Knowledge of railway signalling standards and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based technical assurance through design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Review contractor designs and deliverables against HS2 requirements.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between CCS and other rail systems.
• Support change management and technical approvals.
