Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join the Cyber & Security Solutions Division. You will help deliver, maintain, and improve platform and systems engineering solutions underpinning national security and public sector services, with a focus on secure, scalable outcomes.

The role supports security tooling platforms, collaborates across engineering and service teams, and may involve hybrid working (home and onsite at a UK office).

Qualifications

• Experience with security tooling platforms (SIEM/EDR) and related tooling.
• Ability to resolve moderately complex application issues with secure, scalable solutions.
• Understanding of SL lifecycle management, integration patterns, and secure-by-design.

Responsabilités

• Support, configure, and enhance security tooling platforms (SIEM/EDR) supporting threat detection and response.
• Deliver engineering tasks within defined work packages aligned to user needs and security requirements.
• Contribute to application architecture, integration, and lifecycle activities under guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, service management, and business to resolve issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement, including automation, documentation, knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with governance, ITSM processes, and cyber security policies.
