Job summary

The Selection Partnership Ltd. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator for shopfitting in the West Midlands. You will prepare costings, analyse tenders and manage the QS function to ensure competitive pricing and robust commercial controls.

Based in the Midlands, you will report to the Commercial Department, develop client accounts, and coordinate with contracts teams, site agents, and subcontractors to deliver accurate estimates from pre-contract through final account.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience within shopfitting / fit-out.
• Numerical skills for calculating and analysis.
• Ability to forward plan and manage costs.
• Construction industry experience and understanding.
• Confident communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Report back to Directors on key estimating aspects.
• Develop accounts with existing and new clients with Directors.
• Analyse job appraisals to verify estimating accuracy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contracts team and subs.
• Manage the QS function from pre- to post-contract.
• Monitor project costs from pre-contract to final account.
• Review risk on framework agreements and contracts with feedback.
• Survey sites to understand the work and environment.
• Produce cost information and sub-contractor quotes for handover.
