Job description

Studio Managers at ASOS are key leadership figures responsible for ensuring the smooth, professional, and successful operation of ASOS Studios. They possess a creative eye, practical implementation skills, and a strategic mindset to achieve departmental and business goals. As part of the leadership team, they collaborate closely with management, senior teams, and stakeholders across the business. They lead, mentor, and inspire their team to produce industry-leading ecommerce assets for ASOS product pages, targeting the 20-something customer. They focus on departmental efficiency, commercial thinking, and innovation, demonstrating the ability to lead with a creative, strategic, and operational approach.

What you'll be doing
  1. Reporting to the Head of Studio, managing the Shoot Producer team responsible for product page enrichment of over 1000 products daily.
  2. Leading creative implementation, managing budgets, controlling cost per product, and ensuring KPIs are met.
  3. Possessing the skills and knowledge to lead the team effectively, overseeing daily processes with a strategic perspective.
  4. Ensuring Shoot Producers are equipped to meet expectations aligned with business as usual (BAU) segments and other briefs.
  5. Managing the end-to-end workflow for Shoot Production and related tasks.
  6. Collaborating on and delivering creative projects, including elevated and focus shoots both in-studio and on location.
  7. Meeting team performance KPIs and SLAs, continuously seeking improvements in quality and efficiency.
  8. Creating, maintaining, and communicating shoot guides.
  9. Working with other managers and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic segment evolution aligned with current trends and fashion relevancy.
  10. Collaborating with department and retail stakeholders on future shoot development and communicating directions effectively to the team.
  11. Managing pre-shoot planning and preparation.
  12. Conducting workshops and training across creative specialties.
  13. Holding regular 1-2-1 meetings with direct reports to review objectives, support development, and assess progression, ensuring consistency in application.
  14. Developing and regularly assessing succession plans within the team at all levels.
  15. Encouraging growth and development through objectives and training aligned with departmental strategy.
  16. Leading departmental meetings and engaging with external stakeholders.
  17. Being an aspirational leader within the team and wider department.
  18. Ensuring team adherence to established processes and quality standards.
  19. Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining a high-quality freelance pool to support volume requirements.
  20. Optimizing resource deployment, including managing absences and day-to-day team management.
  21. Fostering an environment of authenticity, bravery, and creativity, motivating the team to engage fully with company strategies.
  22. Developing and implementing a leadership style and communication approach aligned with ASOS Behaviours policy.
  23. Collaborating with management and other teams to deliver departmental strategies and building strong relationships within ASOS Studios.
  24. Forming strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, championing ASOS Studios.
  25. Demonstrating brand awareness by researching market trends and competition to maintain market leadership.
  26. Designing and implementing automated workflows to streamline practices and processes.
  27. Overseeing departmental technology software and hardware development and launches.
  28. Delivering projects supporting departmental strategy and handling ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Studio.
