Job summary

Harrods is seeking a Senior Shift Technician to join our Engineering team at Knightsbridge. You will operate, maintain and isolate critical electrical and mechanical building services, including HV infrastructure and generators, ensuring safe, reliable operation across the estate.

You will collaborate with in-house engineers, contractors and stakeholders, carrying out proactive maintenance, fault response and continuous improvement while upholding health and safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining complex electrical and mechanical building services systems.
• HV switching experience and required authorisations/certifications.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, regs and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, maintain and isolate critical electrical and mechanical systems for reliable power and services.
• Carry out HV switching and support planned maintenance shutdowns with appropriate authorisations.
• Monitor and maintain water management systems with regulatory compliance.
• Support asset registers, maintenance schedules and engineering systems for efficiency and compliance.
• Provide technical expertise, supervise contractors and contribute to energy-saving projects.
• Promote strong health and safety culture through risk assessments and method reviews.
